Hi I’m Emmie (she/her) I’m a screenwriter, copywriter & filmmaker based in Los Angeles by way of Brooklyn (by way of the Hudson Valley–it’s gorgeous, you’ll love it!) I got my start in the music industry at Billboard Magazine…while also moonlighting as a punk show promoter in Chinatown and hosting the web series “Slumber Party at Emmie’s House” from my bed. While I did eventually make it out of my bedroom, I’ve still kept that same passion for creating immersive worlds and distinctive storytelling and infused it into every project I’ve been apart of…including:

Creating an all girl-rock band for a Netflix Original series, writing and directing work that has been showcased at the Directors Guild of America, The Chinese Theatre and the TIFF Lightbox theatre and working in creative development at Warner Bros. Just to name a few things!

I’m so glad you’re here!  And in some personal news…My favorite movie is also my favorite movie soundtrack: Josie and The Pussycats. I’m a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community and an even prouder member of the AMC Stubs A-List community…see, I told you…BRAGGING.
